The two Bay of Plenty teams, contesting the annual ND Senior Secondary tournament being played in the Bay of Plenty 14-18 December 2020, finished in third and sixth place respectively, in the T20 competition on day two (15 December 2020).

Bay of Plenty Coastland defeated comprehensively defeated Counties Manukau to take out third place in the T20 playoffs. Batting first, the Bay side set their opponents a big target in reaching 186 for the loss of six wickets. The Bay of Plenty Lakeland bowlers did their part in restricting Hamilton to 126/7, in the playoff for fifth place. Batting at three in the Lakeland reply, Mathew Ward was in good touch to finish with 31 runs to his name - with the game up for grabs at 62/4 after twelve overs. However the Hamilton bowlers put the brakes on the Bay side attempts to hit out, with the Lakeland side restricted to 104 for the loss of six wickets.
