Hamilton, Northland, Counties Manukau And Waikato Valley To Fight Out ND Title

The four teams that will fight out the 2017 ND Junior Secondary cricket title, have been found after matches were completed on day two (5 December 2017).
After two rounds of Twenty 20 cricket on the opening day and fifty over per side encounters today – Hamilton, Northland, Counties Manukau and Waikato Valley, will go to battle in tomorrow’s championship semi-finals.
  
Hamilton will square off with Counties Manukau with Northland and Waikato to engage in a head to head battle. The championship final will take place on Thursday and Friday (7-8 December 2017), with the age-group title decided in a two-day match. 

A feature on day two was a remarkable bowling feat from Northland bowler VV Von M Carvel, who took five wickets for just 5 runs, against Bay of Plenty Lakeland. 
Hamilton looked to be on track to back to back ND Secondary Schoolgirl titles, after three rounds of competition was completed at Fergusson Park in Tauranga. The Waikato City team have posted two 150+ run wins and scored a seven wicket victory against Poverty Bay.

A highlight of the round three encounter, between Northland and Counties Manukau, was a remarkable 111 not out scored by Northland batter Mikayla Templeton.
