Rep cricket is back for the 2022/23 season and we are kicking off with the coveted Fergus Hickey Rosebowl against old foes Northland.
Coach Daniel Flynn is looking forward to getting back into it and reaping the rewards of a good pre-season.
"We have an exciting young group that have worked hard in the preseason and are looking forward to getting out on the park this weekend."
Captaining the side for a third season, Ben Pomare can't wait to put the blue and gold on and represent Bay of Plenty.
"It's awesome to be back as a group and we are all excited to get out there this weekend against Northland.
We've lost a few players from last year but are all excited for the challenges that are ahead of us this season."
Ollie Curtis from Otumoetai Cadets will make his debut for this young side (with over half the team having played more than 20 games for the men's representative team). While on the other end of the spectrum, Bay of Plenty great Pete Drysdale will be playing his 120th game for the side.
