Two CRAIGS INVESTMENT PARTNERS Bay of Plenty Representative Teams in Action This Weekend

Posted: Friday, 19 February 2021

It is a huge weekend (20/21 February 2021) for the two Craigs Investment Partners Bay of Plenty representative teams, who currently sit at the top of their respective Northern Districts Cricket representative competitions.

With the ND Championships finishing post in sight, the two Bay sides can put one hand on the ND silverware, with success in their Fergus Hickey Rosebowl and Basil McBurney Trophy Development encounters.

The senior representative side, has beaten the two traditional Fergus Hickey heavyweights in Northland and Hamilton, and sit at the top of the standings with a game in hand, as they prepare to play Waikato Valley over the weekend.

Victory in the two-day match in enemy territory, will give Bay of Plenty a huge advantage, as they end their representative season with an encounter against cellar dwellers Counties Manukau in early March.

One change in the Bay of Plenty Cricket flagship side will see, Henry Conway, make his Bay of Plenty senior representative team debut. Conway will become Bay of Plenty player number 555 since the first Bay of Plenty representative fixture in 1932.

Bay of Plenty Development, also travel to the Waikato, to play their catch-up match with Hamilton. Both teams sit together at the head of the Basil McBurney competition points table and likely to meet again on ND Finals day on Sunday 28th February 2021.

Iman Singh will captain the Bay Development team for the first time, with the selection of current Development skipper Niven Dovey, in the Bay of Plenty First XI to play Waikato Valley
