Carrus Mount Maunganui, won their seventh Bay of Plenty Cup title since the competition was established in the 2007/08 season, when they defeated Eve's Realty Greerton in the 2019 Bay of Plenty Cup Final at Pemberton Park, on Saturday 7 December 2019.

Mount Maunganui batted first in the Bay of Plenty Cup Final against Greerton and reached 200 for the loss of seven wickets, in a game reduced to 40 overs per side after the match was halted because of an afternoon deluge, with the Mount at 122/5.

Batting at four, Tim Tomlinson top scored with 36 runs, with Dominic Crombie coming in at six posting a hard fought 32. Lee Watkins and James Boyd took two wickets apiece for the home team.

Mount Maunganuui skipper Dale Swan and Chris Atkinson, did the damage with the ball, with the pair taking four wickets apiece as Greerton were rolled for 117. Swan, who sat at the top of the Bay of Plenty Cup bowling stakes increased his tally to 23 wickets, as he returned 4/18 in the title decider.

Greerton opener Taylor Bettelheim, stood like a sentinel at one end, as wickets fell at the other, going on to top score with 51. Umesh Ranaraja was the only other Greerton batsman to show any substantial defiance with 31 runs.

Textbook cricket tactics, suggest that a big top-order partnership is the is best option when faced with chasing down a solid target - with Bond & Co Tauranga Boys College using the tactic to perfection, to take home the Bay of Plenty Plate from Owen Delaney Park in Taupo.

Generation Homes Lake Taupo won the toss and elected to bat. The home side were in a very strong position, at 161 for the loss of two wickets, courtesy of a 141 run partnership, when Habib Malik was dismissed for 68.

Michael Mitchell continued his assault on the Tauranga Boys bowlers top scoring with 88 runs, which included eight 4's. Led by four wickets from Kieran New, the visitors stemmed the tide with Lake Taupo reaching 212 for the loss of seven wickets at the end of their allotted overs.

Ben Vyver and Niven Dovey came together after Tauranga Boys first wicket fell with just five runs on the board. The top order pair settled down to produce a match winning 177 run partnership, before Vyver was dismissed for 66.

Niven Dovey, went on to post the sixth the Baywide premier cricket century of the season, as he smacked 105 runs at a tad better than a run a ball. His innings contained seventeen 4's and one six, with Tauranga Boys requiring just 14 runs when he was removed.

Long-time Carrus Mount Maunganui bowler Dale Swan, wrote his name into Baywide cricket history, when took eight wickets in his teams dramatic 81 run win over arch-rivals Element IMF Cadets in round five.

Mount Maunganui batted first in the Battle of the Bridge game and were removed for 200 in the 48th over. Mount newcomer Tim Tomlinson, who previously played premier cricket in the City of Sails, top scored with 62 runs with Peter Drysdale chipping in with 29. Mayura Galappaththi was the best of the Cadets bowling attack returning 3/21.

Cadets made a solid start to their reply at 42 for the loss of two wickets. Enter the Mount Maunganui skipper, who wears his 200 premier game cap with absolute pride, then proceeding to destroy the Cadets innings. Four LBW decisions, two balls that spread the stumps and a caught and bowled along with a catch picked out by Tony Goodin, resulted in Cadets being dismissed for 119. The last Baywide eight wicket bag was taken by Black Cap Trent Boult in February 2013 returning figures of 8/37.

For the second October in a row, Brett Hampton gave a master-class in batting as he powered Eves Realty Greerton to victory against Element IMF Cadets, in a Bay of Plenty Cup game on Saturday (12 October 2019), in a rain shortened match reduced to 26 overs per side.

Cadets had early success grabbing their first wicket with the second ball of the game. Greerton new recruit Bruce Kerr then took control belting 65 runs off 37 balls. Coming in at four, Hampton took aim on the boundary ropes to blast 119 off just 48 balls, in a whirlwind innings that produced sixteen 6's. The ND batsman put on a similar performance on the opening day of last season, belting 155 in a Twenty 20 encounter, scoring 102 runs over the boundary ropes.

Central Indians skipper Stephen Nicholls blasted 387 runs to finish at the top of the Bay of Plenty Cup batting stakes with Dale Swan's eight wicket bag taking him to the top of the bowling tally with 23 wickets. Swan and Greerton's Jared Tutty both grabbed six wickets or better with Nick Hendrie, Stephen Nicholls, Tai Bridgman-Raison, Brett Hampton, Stephen Crossan, Blair McKenzie and Niven Dovey all finishing the competition with centuries to their name.
