Bay of Plenty Cricket are seeking applications for the Lakeland Cricket Development Officer role for the 2016/2017 season.
This is a part-time role (30 hours per week) starting mid-August 2016 through to the end of March 2017.
The focus of the Lakeland Cricket Development Officer role will be increasing participation in the Taupo and Rotorua areas.
Prime Responsibilities:
Generate interest in introductory cricket programs
Increase participation particularly at primary school level
Introduce NZ Cricket programs at targeted schools
Specific Tasks:
Create awareness of and generate interest in local junior cricket programs
Deliver NZ Cricket Programs (such as Skills Challenge & Super Cricket) to targeted schools
Coordinate primary school cricket festival and event days
Coordinate SuperStar Cricket Academy centres in Rotorua and Taupo
Create close working relationships between Schools, Clubs & Local Associations
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following qualities:
Previous experience working with children
A passion for cricket
Be reliable and punctual
Evidence of previous coaching experience
NZC Level 1 Coaching Qualification (or equivalent)
Full NZ Drivers license
Eligible to work in New Zealand
