The Craigs Investment Bay of Plenty Men’s side is looking strong, having Northern Districts A players back to take on Waikato Valley this Sunday at Te Puke Domain.

We welcome back Pete Drysdale and Bharat Popli to the side after being away with the Northern Districts side.

After four Bay of Plenty players appeared in two T20 fixtures against Auckland A yesterday at St Paul’s Collegiate.

A quick trip over the Kaimai’s, didn’t stop the success. Drysdale contributed a huge 47* score to their win of 44 runs in the first fixture of the day. A good knock wasn’t enough for Drysdale, heading out into the second match, he claimed the poles of 4 victims.

Bay of Plenty’s Men captain, Ben Pomare (22) hit 2 sixes facing 18 balls. Not only did Pomare contribute during the first game, taking a catch and assisting Drysdale with a stumping.

While captain Lellman, took the wickets of 3 batsmen within 3 overs. Lellman (19*) and Popli (51*) knew what they had to do. After chasing down the score of Auckland, Bay of Plenty teammates closed the innings together.
