Beautiful Bay Of Plenty Weather Greets Teams In NDAnnual Tournaments

Hamilton and near neighbours Waikato Valley made the early running on the opening day of the ND Junior Secondary tournament being played in Rotorua.
The Waikato City side posted wins over Northland and Bay of Plenty Lakeland in pool one, with Waikato Valley defeating Counties Manukau and Bay of Plenty Coastland in pool two.
The best batting of day one was a magnificent 107 blasted by BM McKendrick from Counties Manukau. Waikato Valley bowler L Tindall posted the best bowling figures, taking three wickets at a cost of just 2 runs.

Hamilton, Waikato Valley and Poverty Bay opened their ND Secondary Schoolgirls tournament campaigns with one-side victories at Fergusson Park in Tauranga.
