Bay of Plenty Cricket Under 15 Girls Tournament a Fantastic Success

The second annual Bay of Plenty Cricket Under 15 Girls Invitational tournament, was played under the usual Western Bay of Plenty Labour weekend outstanding weather, at Gordon Spratt Reserve on Saturday and Sunday (24/25 October 2020).

Bay of Plenty Cricket Women’s Cricket Officer Rebecca Yee said “Thanks to all the teams who travelled to Papamoa to participate this weekend. It was great to see five female teams playing some quality cricket and having a good time”.

“This Labour Weekend tournament is a fantastic way to kick off our BOPCA female cricket programme. This year with five teams, the focus is less on finding a winner but providing more playing opportunities for these female cricketers and this was definitely achieved with five rounds of play.”
