Posted: Friday, 19 November 2021

After a soggy round 4 was called off due to rain, we find ourselves at the pointy end of the Bayleys Bay of Plenty Cup.

Craigs Investment Partners Geyser City are heading to Taupo to face Generation Homes Lake Taupo, both haven't had a win in the tournament thus far and will be looking to log their first W.

2nd plays 5th when Papamoa host Bond & Co Mount Maunganui. Papamoa will be looking to Nikhil Vishwanath who scored an impressive 82 in his last outing while Mount Maunganui welcome back Dominic Crombie who is returning from injury and NZ Under 19 representative Ollie White in his debut game for the team.

Holland Beckett Law Tauranga Boys College will head to Rototua to take on top of the table Bayleys Central Indians.  Taking 7 wickets for 34 runs in the Central Indians last game, Andrew Gibbs will be full of confidence and keen to repeat the performance while Tauranga Boys will be relying on the experience of coach/player Charles Williams, who is the teams top scorer, to guide the young side.

Greerton will celebrate Tom MacRury’s 100th game for the club and welcome Israel Turner who will play his debut game. Both teams will be without Northern Districts Cricket representatives who are heading down to Alexandra to take on Otago in the Plunket Shield.
