WANTED – ASPIRING SPORTS PHOTOGRAHERS

Bay of Plenty Cricket has a unique opportunity available for an aspiring sports photographer to help us build a photographic gallery of our sport in the region.

The voluntary position, is ideally suited for someone with a passion for both cricket and photography, who is starting out on a photo journalism journey. The volunteer position would be ideally suited to a senior secondary or tertiary student looking to develop and display their skills; however, all suitably qualified candidates will be considered. The successful candidate will need to have their own equipment; at a minimum, we believe a DSLR camera and a telephoto lens would be neccessary.

While we can’t offer any financial rewards, we can offer the best seat in the house at Bay of Plenty Cricket matches.

The position will allow the successful candidate to build a photographic album that could assist with their future. The images would be used for the BOPCA website and social media posts, as well as being distributed to the regional sports media with photographer credits included.
