Fergus returned figures of nine overs - two maidens - five wickets for 21 runs, as the Hamilton School were bowled out for 193.

The Aquinas top order made a useful start to their run chase and at 124 for the loss of four wickets, the Western Bay team were in the game. The two opening batsmen again got their side away to a good start with a 51 run partnership. Joel Hayes was the first to go for 31, with Fergus Lellman getting through to 42 before dismissal.

Batting at three, Spencer Wills (28) continued to accumulate runs. As the Aquinas run rate climbed, the St Paul’s bowlers struck back with a vengeance removing their opponents last six batters for just 14 runs, to post a 49 run victory.
