BOPCA Seeks Director

The Bay of Plenty Cricket Association (BOPCA) is NZ’s largest minor cricket association providing cricket and cricket development programmes in a region that extends from Waihi Beach in the North to East Cape and south to Taupo & Turangi. There are over 9,000 regular participants in various forms of the game in the Bay.

BOPCA operates as a not for profit organisation and is widely respected for the quality of its programmes and is recognised as a key contributor of new talent for both the Northern Districts’ Cricket Association and New Zealand Cricket development programmes.

BOPCA operates under a board structure that is constituted from a mix of up to five (5) regionally elected representatives complemented by a similar number of appointed independent directors.  The Board meets approx. 8 times annually and provides strategic direction for the association.

BOPCA wishes to appoint another director to strengthen the commercial and marketing skillset in its governance.  In addition, there is a strong desire to ensure that the board reflects the diversity of the region and gives due regard to the growing impact that girls and women’s cricket is having on our sport.

If you are interested in a governance role in New Zealand’s leading summer code please forward your written application with a copy of your CV to:
